David Moyes comment towards a female BBC reporter has created an uproar. And everyone from political personalities to ex-players are all condemning the statement.

David Moyes while speaking to BBC’s Vicki Sparks after Sunderland’s match against Burnley said, “Just getting a wee bit naughty at the end there so just watch yourself. You still might get a slap even though you’re a woman.”

These comments from Moyes have sparked an outburst which is evident all throughout Twitter. People on the social media platform have come out to bash David Moyes for making such a comment. They are clearly not happy with the behaviour of David Moyes. While there were a bunch of people who came out to support Moyes. But most of the fans feel that Moyes should have been more careful with his words.

Ex-England player Gary Lineker has also lashed out saying that the Black Cats manager’s treatment towards the reporter was utter disdain.

Both Moyes and Vicki were seen laughing during the incident and Vicki has not filed a formal complaint about the incident. Moyes also apologized to Sparks after the incident saying, “I deeply regret the comments I made.” But this has not stopped the FA from intervening. The FA has asked Moyes to provide an explanation about the whole incident.

With both the involving parties resolving the issue among themselves, Moyes will likely escape a ban or a fan.
