David Silva joined Manchester City back in 2010 from Spanish club Valencia. And in these 7 years, the Spaniard has gone on to become one of the best attacking midfielders in the Premier League. But now the 31-year-old has decided that he wants to head back to Spain once his contract at Manchester City expires.

Silva’s current contract with the Citizens expires in June 2019 after which the player has decided to head back to his home land. But he will not be joining Barcelona or Real Madrid. Instead, he wants to play for Las Palmas.

Last year the Spaniard had said that if he goes back to Spain then it will be for Las Palmas. And now it is being reported that Las Palmas and Manchester City have reached a verbal agreement on the transfer of David Silva when he becomes a free agent in 2019.

The La Liga side finished 14th on the league table in 2016-17 and survived relegation by just eigth points. And this is certainly one of the concerns for Silva. Hence the verbal agreement states that Silva with only join the Spanish outfit if they still manage to remain in the top division.
