Dutch International Vincent Janssen has not been included in Tottenham Hotspurs’ Champions League squad and it has not gone nicely with a lot of people.

After the omission, Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf has gone on to claim that Spurs and Daniel Levy grew ‘impatient’ in trying to offload the striker from amongst their ranks.

Tottenham have decided that Janssen is ‘not fit for the absolute top’ and that they have been ‘impatient’ with the player – claim the paper.

As per the report, Levy wanted to sell Janssen to West Brom and tried his hands at a loan move to Brighton. But the 23-year-old rejected all the above moves and has insisted in staying at in North London to give his Spurs career one more chance.

But De Telegraaf suggests that Lilywhites will continue with their aggressive approach and will try to offload the player once again in the January transfer window.

Janssen joined Spurs back in 2016 from Eredivisie side AZ for a fee of £17 million. But since then the striker has been largely overlooked as he has managed to play only 35 games during the whole of last season.

Do you think that the 23-year-old deserves another chance to get back into the first eleven?
