Ex-Man Utd legend Dwight Yorke had recently filed for bankruptcy at the High Court.
The backdrop:
The bankruptcy was in connection with Yorke’s company Dwight Yorke Promotions. The United legend started the company back in 1997. But since then the company has seen a lot of bad times. And reports as of September 2015 suggested that the company held assets worth £6,094. Which was down by a staggering 73% as compared to the previous year.
But Yorke Promotions owed £6,092 in the form of various loans and overdrafts. Which meant that the net value of his company’s asset was a shocking £2.
The verdict:
Yorke Promotions was set for hearing on Sunday and the petition against the former legend has been dropped as per the Birmingham Mail
The registrar was told the amount owed by Yorke had fallen below the £5,000 threshold creditors can petition for a debtor to be made bankrupt.
Dwight Yorke was recently seen on the football pitch though as he played for the Man Utd legends against the Barcelona legends. Yorke also managed to score a screamer of a goal from outside the box.
