Everton are absolutely throwing the kitchen sink at the transfer market as they plan to make a £30 million bid for Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez during the January transfer window.

As we reported earlier today, Manchester City are planning to back out of the Alexis Sanchez transfer during the winter and they want to scoop him up for free next summer. And Toffees owner Farhad Moshiri sees this as the perfect opportunity to try and grab the Chilean.

Everton have made their worst possible start to the season and are currently staring down the barrel to the Championship. They splurged a hell lot of cash during the summer but that added up to virtually nothing – eventually resulting in the sack of boss Ronald Koeman. Now caretaker boss David Unsworth and the owner are trying to get their season back on track by making another set of big money signings.

But the Merseyside outfit know very well that they do not stand a very good chance at securing a deal for the 28-year-old simply because Sanchez has his hearts set on Champions League football – something that the Toffees cannot offer. The Chilean also wants to reunite with his old Barcelona boss and that is why Man City are sure that he will take the first flight to Manchester as soon as he becomes a free agent.
