Chelsea have been rejected by a large number of players during the summer and by the looks of it, the list keeps getting bigger and bigger.

Players like Romelu Lukaku, Ross Barkley, Fernando Llorente have all snubbed the defending champions during the summer transfer window and i the latest news is anything to go by then Juventus’ Alex Sandro is the latest addition to that list.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte had marked Alex Sandro as one of his prime targets early on in the summer because the Italian was desperate to strengthen his left-back options. As per multiple reports during that time the Blues were even ready to spend as much as £75 million for the player. But the Italian outfit clearly saw Sandro as a long term asset and hence they did not want to sell him.

But now according to the latest report, along with Juve, Sandro too did not have any desire to move to Chelsea during the transfer window. Sandro clearly sees his future in Turin and wants to work at becoming a superstar at the club.

The report also suggests that the 26-year-old is all set to sign a new contract with the club, which will keep him at Juve up until 2022. And in with the new contract, Sandro will get a huge pay rise and his previous annual salary of £2.8 million will be increased to £4.8 million.

So clearly it looks as if Sandro is another high profile player who had no desire to move to Stamford Bridge. And this just can’t stop us from wondering as to how many new names might be added to the list during the upcoming weeks.
