Hull City manager Leonid Slutsky is in line to become the next technical director at Chelsea.

A few days back Chelsea’s technical director Michael Emenalo stepped down from his position after 10 years with the Blues. Emenalo was in charge of scouting duties at the club and under him, the club made a lot of vital signings. Now the Chelsea management’s biggest job is to find a suitable replacement for the position. And according to a report, Hull City manager Leonid Slutsky could become the next technical director at Stamford Bridge.

Slutsky is close friends with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich and many are of the view that the Tigers’ manager might use this high profile connection to land him the job. Slutsky has already used his friendship with Abramovich to loan a string of players from Chelsea to Hull. But that hasn’t saved the Tigers from having a woeful start to their new campaign. Hull City have won just 4 out of their last 16 matches and are 29th in the Championship table.

A large section of the fans feel that their Russian manager is the root cause of all the problem and want him to be sacked as soon as possible.
