Arsenal slumped to a humiliating defeat on Saturday at hands of Stoke City in the Bet365 Stadium. Wenger’s men lost the match 1-0 thanks to a solitary goal from Mark Hughes’ new signing Jese.

And as soon as the match came to an end, reports started coming in that Inter Milan have offered their central midfielder Marcelo Brozovic to Arsenal. The Croatian International has reportedly fallen out of favour at the San Siro, as a result of which Inter are willing to offload him during this transfer window. The Italian outfit have reached out to Arsenal and have told them that Brozovic is available in the market.

Who is Brozovic?

Marcelo Brozovic is a 24-year-old central midfielder who joined Inter Milan back in 2015 from Dinamo Zagreb. And in the past two seasons, the Croatian International has gone on to make 79 appearances for the San Siro outfit.

Brozovic has scored 13 goals in his 79 appearances for Inter. The 24-year-old also has 24 International caps in which he has found the back of the net six times.

Where does he fit in at Arsenal?

Wenger is currently going through a serious midfield crisis where Arsenal are without the services of Santi Cazorla and Jack Wilshere. And the current squad also does not seem to possess that great deal of talent which is capable of turning a game. So the addition of Brozovic will certainly inject some freshness into the team.

Marcelo Brozovic is primarily a central midfielder and is recognized for being a box to box player. Something that will really boost the Gooner’s side. He is also a fine set piece taker and will provide an essential back up to the likes of Ozil and Sanchez. Brozovic is also a midfielder who is quite apt at performing his defensive duties – something that Wenger is badly in need of.
