Here is a look at how City’s players on International duty have fared so far.

Claudio Bravo had a nightmare outing as his side Chile lost 3-0 at home against a rampant Paraguay side. City’s new keeper Ederson meanwhile, was an unused substitute for Brazil in their win against Ecuador.

Belgium romped to 9-0 win against Gibraltar. Both Vincent Kompany and Kevin De Bruyne featured for the Red Devils and the latter provided an assist too. Kevin De Bruyne played in the win against Greece as well but Kompany did not feature in that fixture.

Kyle Walker featured in both the games for a full 90 mins for England as they won against Malta and Slovakia. Raheem Sterling played 45 mins against Malta and was a late substitute in the Slovakia fixture. John Stones meanwhile was an unused substitute in both the matches.

Nicolas Otamendi kept a clean sheet as Argentina drew 0-0 against Uruguay in Montevideo. Sergio Aguero was not used as Argentina struggled to break the resolute Uruguayan defence.

David Silva played in an emphatic 3-0 win for Spain against Italy. He also prepares himself to face Liechtenstein later tonight.

Amongst the Samba boys, Gabriel Jesus provided an assist ashttp://wordpress-177711-516565.cloudwaysapps.com/wp-admin/post-new.php Brazil beat Ecuador. Fernandinho, however, was not used.

Bernardo Silva played the full 90 against the Faroe Islands as Portugal won 5-1. He also provided an assist in that game. Against Hungary, he came off the bench for the last half an hour as Portugal sneaked through a 1-0 win.

Pep Guardiola will be intently following the players as they feature for their countries before a crunch game against Liverpool.

He will be hoping that no key players pick up injuries and return back available for selection against The Reds.

He will be happy that many of his players have not been overplayed in the round of fixtures with only Kyle Walker and Kevin De Bruyne featuring so far for a major part of both their respective games.

Manchester City have clubbed together with Premier League rivals Liverpool to hire a private jet to fly their Brazilian stars back to the North West after ahead of their Premier League clash.

Gabriel Jesus, Ederson, and Fernandinho are all in South America for Brazil’s latest set of World Cup qualifiers, the last of which is away to Columbia tonight.

With the Blues kicking off on Saturday at lunchtime they want their players back in Manchester as quickly as possible.

And rather than rely on charter flights, they have teamed up with Liverpool, who they face at the Etihad on Saturday, and Chelsea, to hire a private jet

Wantaway star Phillipe Coutinho is also in the Brazil squad as is Chelsea’s Willian will also be on board the flight which will leave straight after the game in the northern Colombian city of Barranquilla on Tuesday night and is expected to see the stars land back in the UK early on Wednesday morning.
