Manchester City midfielder David Silva felt a slight discomfort during the final stages of the club’s game against West Brom last weekend and then Pep Guardiola revealed that the Spaniard will be rested during the club’s Champions League fixture.

Now though, the manager has hinted that Silva might be an absentee during the Manchester Derby. Silva was supposed to be rested against Shakhtar Donetsk as a precautionary measure but the injury seems to be more serious than previously thought.

But Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho feels that his managerial counterpart is bluffing about Silva’s injury just like Arsene Wenger reported falsely about Lacazette’s unavailability last weekend.

While speaking to the media, Mourinho first gave an injury update about his team’s injuries.

“The truth is Eric Bailly no chance for the weekend, Phil Jones a chance, [Marouane] Fellaini a chance, Zlatan [Ibrahimovic] a big chance, Matic is injured but will play for sure, I’m telling the truth but he will play for sure, [Michael] Carrick no chance,” Mourinho told the press.

Then before leaving the room, the United manager said, “No stories of Lacazette, David Silva… all the truth.”

This final statement from the Portuguese manager clearly indicates that he is refusing to believe that David Silva will not be playing in the Manchester Derby. And he has good reason to say such a thing after Wenger had said last week that Lacazette is injured and will not face Manchester United but then the Frenchman sprinted all around the pitch against Mourinho’s men.
