Zlatan Ibrahimovic came to Manchester United from PSG at the beginning of the previous season and within such a short span of time, the big Swede has become a darling of the fans – both on and off the pitch.

On the field, Zlatan virtually carried United last season as he took up most of the goalscoring duties. And off the field, he has been intriguing us with his famous and whacky quotes.

And now Zlatan’s Manchester United teammate Juan Mata has revealed what the forward told the United kit men when he first arrived at the club.

Speaking to FourFourTwo, Mata said, “The day he arrived, we were away on pre-season, so he was on his own with the kit men at the training ground.

“They had never met him before and he’s the sort of guy that garners instant respect because of the way he carries himself.

“Zlatan apparently looked the kit men up and down and said: ‘I hope you know God has arrived.’

“The kit men were shaking and didn’t know what to think, then he fell about laughing with them. He always does that.”

Last season, Zlatan scored 28 goals in 48 appearances for United before a nasty ACL injury cut his season shot in April. But he has managed to make a sensational recovery within just 7 months and is now back in the first team setup.
