Barcelona have been chasing Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho for quite a while now and it is being reported that the Merseyside club have rejected a second bid made by Barcelona which was in the region of £89 million. And now the club’s manager Jurgen Klopp has

Philippe Coutinho joined Liverpool back in 2012 from Italian club Inter Milan and since then the Brazilian has gone on to play over 180 matches for the Reds. Coutinho is undoubtedly one of the star players in the Liverpool team and in the past few seasons, the 25-year-old has taken his game to a new height after getting support from the likes of Sadio Mane and Firmino. So it is pretty clear that the German manager is in no mood to let go of their star player.

And now the club’s manager Jurgen Klopp has a special message for Barcelona. Speaking to the press after the Reds’ 3-0 win over Bayern Munich, Klopp said, “They(Barcelona) can save their energy”.

But just after Jurgen Klopp made this statement, Barcelona officially announced that Neymar has handed in a transfer request and will leave for PSG. So this means that Barcelona have lost a big chunk of their first team quality and we have a feeling that the Catalans will once again make a move for Coutinho. And this time around they will be much more determined and will most certainly place a much higher bid for the Brazilian.
