Juventus have just finished their pre-season tour of the United States of America and it was there that the Old Lady’s manager spoke about the chitter chatter related to Chelsea’s interest in their left-back Alex Sandro.

Speaking after Juventus’ match against AS Roma, Massimiliano Allegri said that Sandro will stay in Turin in the upcoming season.

Juventus might have had a wonderful season last time around but their manager knows very well that the competition will be more fierce this time around. And to keep up with that, Allegri will be need to hold his best players.

Allegri said, “Alex Sandro? He’s a Juventus player, he’s extraordinary and he won’t leave us.

“He’s improved so much since he came to Juve and he has the margins to improve again. Along with Marcelo, he’s one the best in the world.”

This clearly dents Antonio Conte’s hope of further strengthening his squad.

Conte also faces a very similar problem to that of Max Allegri. Chelsea had a brilliant past season under their new Italian coach and that helped them to gain re-entry into the Champions League. But Conte knows that the new season is gone to be a completely different ball game. And that is why he is desperately trying to bring in a bunch of new players in order to strengthen his squad.

But now it looks like that Conte will have to strike off the name of Alex Sandro from his transfer wish list.
