Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has been rebuilding his team at a rather rapid rate. And Kyle Walker was one of the first targets of the club even before the transfer window had started.

A couple of weeks into the transfer season and Man City have been the most active English club in the market. They have already signed Bernardo Silva from Monaco and Ederson from Benfica. They are also in advanced talks with Monaco over the transfer of Benjamin Mendy and Dani Alves is also expected to join the club on a free transfer.

But the Kyle Walker deal does not seem to have any kind of progress. So what holding up Kyle Walker’s move to Manchester City? Well, according to the Daily Mail, the deal is currently in a limbo because City are about £10 million short of the asking price.

Tottenham Hotspur have put a price tag of around £50 million for the want-away player. But as of now, Man City are only ready to offer £40 million for his services.

But with Walker adamant to leave the club, something or the other has to give in. Either City will have to up their bid close to the asking price. Or Spurs will have to drop their demands for the right-back.

As of now Kyle Walker’s move to Man City holds to be on hold temporarily. But we believe that once Guardiola has resolved his dilemma over Alexis Sanchez, he will put his focus back on the English International.
