Arsene Wenger has reportedly convinced Alexandre Lacazette to join him at Arsenal but it looks as if Lacazette’s move to Arsenal will not come so easily.

According to the Mirror, Lyon President Jean-Michel Aulas is not going to let go of his hitman so easily.

A few weeks back the Lyon president had confirmed that Arsenal have made a bid for the 26-year-old Frenchman. But now with the interest seemingly growing Lyon have decided that they will try and make the deal as hard as possible. Wenger has shifted his focus to Lacazette after his initial target Kylian Mbappe is most likely to join Real Madrid. But now this deal also looks to be in troubled waters.

Lacazette was initially said to be joining Atletico Madrid in the summer. But the deal fell through after a transfer ban was imposed on the Spanish club. So now Arsenal seems to be his only other destination.

Lacazette's move to Arsenal
Lacazette’s move to Arsenal is going to come easy. As the Lyon president tries to play a spoilt sport.

Speaking to the press the Lyon president said that Atletico were ready to €53million for the player, a price quite fair for a player who regularly scores 25 to 30 goals a season.

Aulas also said that he had been informed that Arsenal have shown interest in the player. But the deal has not yet moved forward as he is yet to give it any serious thought.

But amongst all this, the President has made it very clear that if Arsenal want to sign Lacazette then they will have to cough up anywhere between €50million to €60million.

So clearly Lacazette’s move to Arsenal looks anything but easy. If Wenger truly wants the goal machine to join him at Arsenal then he will have to dig deep into his pockets. And knowing Wenger’s past history the deal clearly remains in a bit of a doubt.
