According to former Chelsea defender Graeme Le Saux, Danny Drinkwater will face a very hostile atmosphere when he makes his debut for the Blues in the King Power Stadium this weekend.

Danny Drinkwater shifted loyalties on a frantic deadline day transfer which saw the midfield move to Stamford Bridge for a fee of around £35 million.

And now former Chelsea left-back Le Saux feels that the Foxes will make life uncomfortable for Drinkwater when makes his debut for Antonio Conte’s men.

While talking to Betfair Le Saux said, “Returning to a former club a week after the transfer window closes is a really tough position to be in,”

“It sounds trivial but even something as small as remembering to go into the away dressing room can become an awkward obstacle to overcome, and it’s hard to convey just how different it feels going in there for the first time.”

So will Drinkwater be able to shut down all these thoughts and bring out the best in him? Or will the hostile atmosphere get to him and he will join the very long list of failed debuts?
