Liverpool have made a complaint to the UEFA after their youngster Rhian Brewster was racially abused.

The Premier League outfit have reported Spartak Moscow to the European footballing body after the 17-year-old had made a complaint. The incident allegedly took place during the final whistle of the UEFA Youth League game after which Brewster had to be restrained by his team-mates and the coaching staff.

This though is not the first time that Liverpool have lodged a complaint against Spartak as back in September this year Brewster’s teammate Bobby Adekanye was also racially abused during a game in Moscow.

Speaking about this week’s incident a UEFA spokesman told Press Association Sport that “UEFA will be waiting to receive the official match reports. We will be able to provide you with official information on this in the next days.”
