Liverpool have been having a terrible week. Last weekend they were thrashed by Manchester City and then during midweek they were the only team from England’s top six that failed to pick up a win. So now Jurgen Klopp will be desperate to pull things back together with a win against Burnley during this weekend.

Let’s take a look at Liverpool’s line up vs Burnley:

Goalkeeper:

Simon Mignolet is going to return back to goal after being rested in midweek.

Defence:

Jurgen Klopp will hopefully go with the same central defensive partnership that started the game against Sevilla. Meaning that Klavan will find himself on the bench as Joel Matip and Dejan Lovren will take the field against Burnley. But the wing back roles will see a bit of a reshuffle as both Moreno and Gomez are scheduled to be rested. Moreno will be replaced by Andrew Robertson on the left back role while Alexander Arnold will be the right back.

Robertson – Matip – Lovren – Arnold

Midfield:

Jurgen Klopp will also chop and change his midfielders during the weekend as Wijnaldum will make way for summer signing Alex Oxlade Chamberlain. The Englishman is raring to go as he is yet to show his true potential in a red jersey. And the match against Burnley might just be the right opportunity for him to showcase his talent and justify his price tag. Both Jordan Henderson and Emre Can will reprise their roles in midfield.

Attack:

The major absentee for the match will be Sadio Mane who is suspended for the game after a boot to the face of Ederson Moraes last weekend. Liverpool appealed against the ban but it was turned down – meaning the attacking forward is currently under a three match suspension. This though is a blessing in disguise for Klopp as he can bring Philippe Coutinho straight into the first eleven without much thought. The Brazilian will partner Mohamed Salah and Firmino in the attacking third for Liverpool.

Coutinho – Firmino – Salah
