Arsenal have been keeping an eye on Lyon’s attacking midfielder Nabil Fekir and now Lyon have named a price for the player.

Arsenal are scouting Nabil Fekir as a possible replacement to Alexis Sanchez who is expected to join Manchester City at the end of the summer. But now it seems that the Gunners will have to shell out a huge amount for Fekir.

According to the Daily Star, Lyon have set a price tag of £60 million of the attacking midfielder which undoubtedly will make Arsene Wenger think twice.

Nabil Fekir, 24, has played 16 games in the Ligue 1 this season managing to score 13 goals. So clearly there is no doubt with the talent of the French International. But £60 million is most definitely on the steeper side – more so when the Gunners are not going to make any penny from the sale of Alexis Sanchez.

Another major issue is that fact that Lyon have made it clear that they will not part ways with Fekir during the January transfer window meaning Wenger will have to wait until the end of the season in order to get his man.

A host of first-team players at the Emirates will soon be entering the final six months of their contract and a lot of them are expected to leave for free next summer. This means that Arsenal will have to pay for every transfer that comes in next summer from their own pocket.
