Man City are planning for a huge summer transfer window.

Pep Guardiola and Manchester City have had a rather dismal season. They have somehow managed to secure a Champions League spot and will now look to challenge for the title in the upcoming season.

But in order to do that, Guardiola needs to bring in a lot of fresh talent. This means he will have to clear a lot of dead wood from the dressing room in order to make space for the new arrivals.

In the past few days, a host of City players have revealed that they will leave the club during the summer.

Man City players on their way out:

Willy Caballero

The 35-year-old Argentine joined Manchester City in 2014 from Malaga. Since arriving at City, Caballero has mostly played second fiddle at the Etihad. This season he has made 17 appearances in the league. But this was largely owing to the injury sustained to Claudio Bravo.

Caballero managed to keep six clean sheets but also conceded 13 goals in those 17 games. The Argentine was in talks with City for a new contract but somehow it did not materialise. And now he is all set to leave City.

Gael Clichy

Clichy has been at City for six seasons now. He joined the blue half of Manchester from Arsenal on a 7 million pound transfer fee.

The Frenchman has played 138 games for Man City but his role has largely diminished this season. Clichy has made no assists in the 25 games that he has played in the league.

Bacary Sagna

Clichy’s French teammate Bacary Sagna followed him to Man City from Arsenal in 2014. He signed a three-year deal with City. And he is out of contract in this summer.

Jesus Navas

Navas joined Man City from Spanish club Sevilla in 2013 and is likely to return to his childhood club in the summer. Like Caballero, he too failed to secure a new deal with the club.

Navas is likely to return to Sevilla who are willing to offer him a new three-year contract.

Man City also have a few players who are currently out on loan. Namely, Joe Hart, Samir Nasri. Their fate also hangs in the balance and Guardiola is more than likely to sell them off.
