Manchester City’s Director of Football, Txiki Begiristain was in London last week to hold talks about the possible move of Alexis Sanchez.

Arsenal are more or less confident that Sanchez will leave the club in the summer. And as per reports, Bayern Munich are the front runners to sign the Chilean. But Manchester City are confident that they can highjack the deal and bring him to their club.

Manchester City have been quite active in this transfer window.  Having already signed Bernardo Silva from Monaco they are also close to signing goalkeeper Ederson from Benfica. And they now feel that Sanchez can also be a realistic possibility.

Sanchez has demanded a wage rate of 300,000 pounds per week from whichever club that intends to sign him. Last week Arsenal made a fresh offer to Sanchez trying to match that wage rate. But it did not materialise into anything serious.

But if the Chilean wants to join Bayern then he will certainly have to take a price cut because the Bavarians will never agree to offer such steep wages.

Bayern Munich are front runners to sign the Chilean.

And this is where City would feel that they have an advantage. Because they can easily fulfil Sanchez’s demands if he agrees to join them.

It is also being said that Begiristain also held talks with Spur’s Kyle Walker trying to pursue him to join Man City. Walker has also been linked with a move out of Tottenham after his alleged bust-up with manager Pochettino.
