Since the day Jose Mourinho took charge of Manchester United he has been desperately trying to sign an out and out winger who will add that much-needed width to his team. But up until now, the Portuguese has been highly unsuccessful in trying to bring in the right player.

Reports have suggested that the Old Trafford outfit are looking at the likes of Mesut Ozil and Gareth Bale in order to fulfil their manager’s wish. United have also been in the hunt of Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic for quite some time now but that deal too is nowhere close to completion.

Now according to the Daily Mail, Manchester United are looking at Borussia Dortmund winger Christian Pulisic with great interest.

The 19-year-old was recently named USA’s player of the year – the youngest to achieve the honour and he has been touted as one of the best teenagers in world football right now.

Pulisic is currently in his third season with Dortmund and already a lot of top European clubs have shown interest in him. Amongst such clubs, Bayern Munich are at the top. The Bavarians had made an aggressive move to sign the youngster last summer but Dortmund eventually held onto Pulisic.

Though the interest from Manchester United is at a very early stage there is no doubt that signing Christian Pulisic will go a long way in solving Jose Mourinho’s winger drought.
