Manchester United have just been dealt with a huge blow over the signing of Real Madrid star Marco Asensio.

Previously reports had suggested that Asensio was not happy with the lack of opportunities at the club and is willing to move out if this situation does not change. And keeping in line with this news several reports claimed that United and Jose Mourinho were preparing a sensational £177 million bid for the 21-year-old.

Now though the situation seems to have changed at the Bernabeu as Florentino Perez is determined to hold onto his young prodigy. Perez has realized the mistake he made by letting Alvaro Morata leave and is now determined not to repeat the same blunder with Asensio.

Perez seems to have told Marco Asensio that he will become an integral part of the Real Madrid first team setup and this has really dampened the hopes of Manchester United.

But if United’s transfer hopes of signing Asensio falls flat then Chelsea will most definitely be the winners in this. Real Madrid have been chasing Eden Hazard for the longest time and many people feel that if Zidane holds onto Asensio then chances are that they might not make a move for the Chelsea playmaker.

So clearly, Chelsea will be hoping that Asensio’s move to Manchester United collapses so that Eden Hazard has a high possibility of staying back at Stamford Bridge.
