Man Utd and Chelsea are ready to battle it out for ‘this’ Italian wonder

According to reports in Italy, it is being claimed that Manchester United have shown a keen interest in signing 16-year-old wonder kid Pietro Pellegri.

The striker currently plays for Genoa in the Serie A and on Sunday he set the record of being the first 16-year-old to score twice in a major European game during Genoa’s 3-2 defeat against Lazio.

And his parent club claims that they have received a flurry of phone calls from various clubs enquiring about the youngster. The likes of AC Milan, Juventus and Manchester United have all shown interest in signing up the player.

A picture that went viral in the social media in which Pellegri’s father is seen crying after his son’s brace on Sunday. The youngster’s father Marco also happens to be the assistant coach of Genoa.

The player’s agent was in England this week and ever since then, reports have started emerging that the player is close to signing up for Manchester United. Various other sources also claim that Antonio Conte wants to scoop up the player and the Italian is ready to go head on with Manchester United in the battle for this youngster.
