‘Tony Martial came from France,
English press said he had no chance,
£50m down the drain,
Tony Martial scores again.’
Manchester United fans will be quite familiar with this chant as it was created especially for all those people who thought that the multi-million-pound acquisition of Anthony Martial was going to be a failure.
As of now, this chant could be heard at the stadium of Old Trafford and Saturday night’s victory over Newcastle United was no different. Anthony Martial came up with a fine performance on the night which saw him score a beautiful headed goal towards the end of the first half. And after the match got over, some of the players decided to pay a little tribute to the Frenchman inside the locker room by signing the famous chant themselves.
Jesse Lingard, Romelu Lukaku and Paul Pogba were all singing the Anthony Martial song while the player himself was seen recording the video on his phone.

But as soon as this video went up on the social media platform, it received a lot of hate from a large section of the United supporters. And most of them are not happy with the fact that the players are focusing more dressing room antics rather than thinking of beating Manchester City to the title race.
Here are some reactions on Twitter:
Hey @Carra23 remember when you had a go at Arsenal after a win for taking selfies??? What the hell is this and why haven’t you called it out? BIAS
