Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has claimed on record that he wishes to sign another forward player who is capable of playing from the wide areas. But as things stand, the United boss has to give up any hope of signing Gareth Bale.

There were some rumours floating around England that Manchester United will go all out in the pursuit of Gareth Bale after seemingly missing out on Ivan Perisic. And after a stellar performance in the Super Cup, these rumours were bound to grow stronger. But Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has claimed that Bale is not up for sale.

After Real’s Super Cup win against Man Utd, Florentino Perez said, “Every win is important to us, but we’re going step by step,

“I don’t contemplate selling Bale, he’s important for us and is one of the best in the world.

“We have great players and my idea and Zidane’s after winning the Champions League was to do nothing and stay with the same team.”

This news is sure to break a few hearts at Old Trafford as they have clearly missed out on a world class player. But if the latest reports are to be believed then Jose Mourinho will once again try and go after Ivan Perisic this week in the hope that he can persuade the Croatian to shift loyalties.

Having said that, United will have to put in an extra bit of effort because news is that Inter Milan are going to offer a new deal to the winger which if he chooses to accept will make him the highest paid footballer at the club.
