It looks like out of favour Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart has agreed to a move to Premier League rivals West Ham. The English International is set to have a medical on Monday after which the deal will be made official.
A much-needed boost for Hart:
Joe Hart was the undisputed king to the Manchester City’s goalkeeping throne up until the 2015/16 season and he looked all set to rule that position for years to come. But then, Pep Guardiola arrived at the shores of Manchester before the 2016/17 season and things were never the same for the English International. Guardiola immediately froze him out, forcing the City No. 1 to move out of England on a season long loan to Torino.
While a return to City was never on the cards but a significantly poor performance by new signing Claudio Bravo might just have reignited hopes for the 30-year-old. But Guardiola was pretty quick to shut that door as he signed Ederson Moreas from Benfica. Now it is inevitable that Hart is going to leave Manchester City for greener pastures. And it looks as if the Hammers seem to be his next destination.

Staying in England is important:
While Hart knew pretty well that City were going to sell him off sooner or later but the 30-year-old was adamant to continue his career in the English Premier League. In this way, he can be sure that he stays within the sights of Gareth Southgate. This will play a very important factor if Hart wishes to challenge for the No 1 spot in the national team.
Moving to Italy for a whole season played a very negative part on Hart’s international career as he has lost a lot of credibility in the eyes of the England manager. But now Hart is looking not to repeat that mistake by staying in England.
The Football Fan Base view:
West Ham already have two fine goalkeepers in the form of Adrian and Darren Randolph, so a position in the starting eleven is not at all guaranteed for Joe Hart. But it will certainly be a step forward for the keeper after his kind of a mixed season at Torino.
