The Nigerian International joined the Manchester City youth academy in 2014 and made his first team debut against Watford a year later. Even though the 20-year-old has scored 21 goals for the Citizens over the past two seasons but he was never able to break into the first team. And last season the arrival of Brazilian youngster Gabriel Jesus meant that Iheanacho fell further down the pecking order. And City eventually decided that it would be better to offload him in the summer with Leicester City showing a keen interest in the player.

But the transfer has been anything but simple because both the clubs had agreed upon a fee of £25 million four weeks back. And since that day there has there has been no progress whatsoever. But it was mainly due to the fact that Iheanacho was involved in a legal battle related to image rights with his current and former agent.

Even though the 20-year-old is scheduled to have his medical but he is nowhere close to representing Leicester in the field as of now simply cause he will have to resolve a few outstanding legal issues first.
