It looks like Dani Alves is all set to snub Manchester City and joined French side PSG.

Dani Alves recently moved out of Juventus after spending one season with the Torino outfit. And ever since that day it was almost inevitable that Alves was set to reunite with his old boss at Manchester City.

The deal looked almost complete with City even planning to make the announcement next week. But now in a shocking turn of events, it looks as if Alves has flown off to France in order to have a medical at PSG.

Pep Guardiola was very keen with to work with Alves once again and the Spanish coach wanted him to share right-back duties along with Kyle Walker.

City though, are yet to make any sort of positive move in the Kyle Walker deal as Spurs refuse to lower their asking price. And now it looks as if Dani Alves is also not coming. And this leaves Guardiola in a rather big mess.

As soon as the season came to end, the City boss showed the door to Pablo Zabaleta and Bacary Sagna, both right-backs. This was in the hope that he will be able to bring in proper reinforcements. But as things stand, City are currently without any proper right-back amongst their ranks.

The Football Fan Base view:

Dani Alves’ move to PSG means that Guardiola will have no other option but to go all out and sign Kyle Walker, his only other remaining target for the right-back position.

And this desperation is sure to give a major advantage to Tottenham Hotspur. The London club has already refused to lower the price for Walker. And now that City have no other option, it won’t be a surprise if Spurs increased the asking price for their right-back.
