It is no secret that Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola has been wanting to sign Kyle Walker for a rather long time.

But the deal has not made any sort of headway in the past few weeks. And this is mainly due to the high price tag that Spurs have set on Walker. The London club is demanding £50 million for the right-back but Guardiola is not ready to shell out such an amount.

And in order to speed-up the process, Manchester City have decided to add in Kelechi Iheanacho as part of the deal. City are willing to offer Ilheanacho to Spurs as part of the Kyle Walker deal.

Ileanacho had a wonderful first season at City, but he has recently fallen down the pecking order. In the past season, he made only 29 appearances for City and is currently Guardiola’s third choice striker, behind Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero. So the Spanish coach clearly feels that he can use the Nigerian International as a bait to lure in Kyle Walker.

Even though Spurs have told Walker that he can leave in the summer, but the London club is just refusing to lower their negotiating price. And this is perhaps the biggest hurdle standing infront of Walker’s move to Manchester City.
