Romelu Lukaku is right now facing a suspension after appearing to intentionally kick Brighton’s Gaetan Bong in his private parts.

According to the Sun, Lukaku lashed out at the player when the ball was nowhere in sight and a video of the same has been doing the rounds. The piece of footage was not shown during the match day highlights and was also missed by the on-field officials during the game. But now the clip clearly shows the Belgian trying to kick Bong in his nuts.

If the referee of the game claims that he did not see the incident then the FA is free to launch an investigation and if found guilty then Lukaku might receive a three-match suspension.

If Lukaku if slapped with a suspension then he will miss the game against Arsenal as well as the Manchester Derby versus league leaders Manchester City.

Lukaku joined Manchester United during the summer from Everton and since then he has already scored 12 goals from 20 appearances for the Red Devils. But if the big Belgian is suspended then he will most definitely be a big miss for Jose Mourinho.

Having said that, United already have Zlatan Ibrahimovic back in the mix after a lengthy injury absence and the big Swede can fill up the spot of Lukaku. But if Lukaku does get suspended then surely Mourinho will lose a big attacking option.
