Manchester United have been dealt with a serious injury blow after Jose Mourinho confirmed that Eric Bailly is set to be out for three months.

The Ivorian defender had just returned back from injury only to sustain a new one and now the United manager has confirmed that the centre-back will be needing surgery –  and the road to rehabilitation is pretty long.

On the other hand, Chelsea are having their own issues with defender David Luiz. David Luiz is currently sidelined with a knee injury but with his relationship going sour with the manager it is highly unlikely the Brazilian will stay at Stamford Bridge for long. And Manchester United are trying to use this situation to their advantage.

After the alleged ego clash between Conte and Luiz, it was being reported that Manchester United might try and sign the centre back but now after the injury to Bailly, this news seems to have picked up wind.

It is being reported that Manchester United are readying a January bid for David Luiz and the Red Devils are pretty confident that Chelsea will be ready to sell him off.
