Liverpool take on Everton on Sunday in the Merseyside Derby and it is slated to be an absolute cracker.

The two local rivals are on the opposite ends of the spectrum with Everton trying to claw their way back to the top half of the table after a horrible start to the campaign and Liverpool, on the other hand, are flying high as they have scored 15 goals in their past three matches.

So clearly, Liverpool have the edge over Everton on Sunday and Jurgen Klopp’s frontline will be eager to thump in a few goals against their local rivals.

Here’s how Liverpool might line up during the Merseyside Derby:

GOALKEEPER:

Karius was the Liverpool No 1 during the midweek game against Spartak Moscow but Mignolet will return in front of goal during the Everton game.

Mignolet

DEFENCE:

Liverpool’s only weak point this season has been their defensive stability but thankfully the back line has been well shielded by that formidable attacking lineup. During the midweek fixture, Dejan Lovren and Ragnar Klavan were the central defensive partnership of choice for Klopp and during the Merseyside derby, we feel the same duo will take the field.

Robertson and Trent Alexander Arnold are going to be the wing-backs against Everton.

Robertson – Lovren – Klavan – Arnold

MIDFIELD:

Emre Can and Wijnaldum started the game against Spartak Moscow and will make their way to the bench during the Everton game in order to accommodate Henderson and James Milner in central midfield. Philippe Coutinho scored his first hattrick for Liverpool in midweek and will most certainly start the match against the Toffees amidst all the Barcelona talks.

Coutinho – Henderson – Milner

ATTACK:

Liverpool’s attacking trio is easily one of the best in the Premier League and there’s no way that Jurgen Klopp will even think of changing it. Sadio Mane and Mo Salah will start in the wings while Firmino will play as the front man.

Mane – Firmino – Salah
