Manchester United under Jose Mourinho have been playing some of their best football since Sir Alex Ferguson left the manager’s chair. But unfortunately, Manchester City under Pep Guardiola are leaps and bounds ahead of them.

And Jose Mourinho knows this very well and is already preparing a plan in order to close down the gap. According to the Sun, Jose Mourinho has told his scouts to find him a ‘magician’ so that he can bridge the gap between his team and Manchester City.

The Portuguese manager feels that his team is lagging behind City because of the lack of creativity in his team and hence he wants to sign a creative player who will add a bit of flair to his first eleven.

Mourinho has already spent £300 million during his 18-month reign at Manchester United but it looks as if the Old Trafford management is willing to back him further with a couple of more signing during the January transfer window.

The United manager knows very well that his top target Antoine Griezmann is well out of reach so he might just be looking at Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil as a viable replacement. Ozil is out of contract at the end of the summer and the German is yet to sign a new deal. And in such a circumstance, both Arsene Wenger and Arsenal might just be tempted to sell him off during the January transfer window in order to cash in on him.
