The FA Cup fourth round matches so quite a few upset. Liverpool were knocked out by Wolves, Newcastle were humbled by Oxford and Tottenham narrowly escaped Wycombe. But in some corner of the FA Cup weekend is an upset story which is no less than a fairytale.

While the media was busy covering the big guns, a certain Sutton United knocked Leeds out of the FA Cup. Now you may think, what’s the big deal? Leeds are a second tier team and they were beaten by another small team. What’s all the fuss about then? Well yes, Sutton are not any small team. They play non-league football to be precise.

David vs Goliath?

Sutton United players have been buzzing after the win and rightly so. Their club ground has a capacity of just over 5000 spectators while Leeds have a stadium capacity of 37,000 odd people. Leeds is managed by Gary Monk who was with Premier League club Swansea City before coming to Leeds. And on the other hand, we have Paul Doswell, manager of Sutton who works free of cost at the club. He is actually a volunteer like every other non-playing staff at the club. And when we put all these statistics into play it truly becomes a David vs Goliath story.

Enjoy the moment:

Another Non-league team, Lincoln City FC also qualified for the for the fifth round of the FA Cup draw after beating Brighton 3-1. But then, sooner or later reality will hit them and their dream will come crashing down to the grass. And in all honesty, every player of these clubs know that very well. But all they are thinking now is about celebration and enjoyment.
