Manchester United lost the Manchester Derby 2-1 and the match did have a lot of talking points. And one of them was undoubtedly the huge penalty claim from Ander Herrera.

The Spaniard was seemed to be tripped by Otamendi last in the second half but the referee judged that Herrera had dived and decided to book the midfielder. And now Mourinho has come out to claim that his team lost due to poor refereeing decisions.

But sadly his counterpart thinks that Mourinho is just repeating his statements from last season.

Guardiola told Sky Sports, “Last season it was the same – we won here and it was the referee. Today as well,

“Yesterday he spoke about the referee. We are an honest team. We had 75% ball possession, which means we wanted to play. We came here and did that.

“It’s not true that my players go down easily. That is not an argument I believe.”

Mourinho clearly seems to find out excuses about how his team is unlucky on almost every occasion. And for once we would like to see him, man up and accept that his team were poor.

After all, they were beaten by the best team in the land. No shame in that.
