Philippe Coutinho has finally secured his move to Barcelona for a fee of £142 million.

Even though Liverpool bagged £142 million from the Philippe Coutinho – out of which £102 million is to be paid upfront, but the Reds were reportedly not happy with the amount. It is being said that Liverpool were unhappy with the ‘Nike leak’ and also the fact that Coutinho refused to join clubs who were willing to pay more than Barcelona.

As per Mundo Deportivo, Philippe Coutinho has paid £13 million to Liverpool out of his own pocket in order to please the Liverpool management. It is being rumoured that Liverpool felt that they could have bagged more money out of the Coutinho transfer as a result of which the Brazilian paid the Merseyside club out of his own finances so that his move to Spain does not hit any roadblock.
