According to a report in Diario Gol, the Real Madrid management are planning to offload a host of first-team players in preparation for a major overhaul.

Real Madrid have had a really tough week. Last weekend they were humbled 2-1 by minnows Girona and then in midweek they were humiliated 3-1 by Tottenham Hotspur. The defeat at the hands of Girona has pushed Zidane’s men to the 3rd position on the La Liga table while the defeat to Pochettino’s men means that they are now second in the Champions League Group.

And now as per the report, the Real Madrid boss is planning a major overhaul of the team. Madrid are planning to sell as many as 5 players from their starting line up – namely Theo Hernandez, Marcelo, Casemiro, Toni Kroos and Luka Modric.

And amongst these 5 players, the possible sale of Toni Kroos is sure to spike the interests of Manchester United. The United manager has been a long-term admirer of the German playmaker and has even tried to sign him on a couple of occasion in the past.

As per the news, Jose Mourinho is aware of the plans of Zidane and Co and he has already made contact with Kroos over a possible move to Old Trafford for the upcoming season.

Pogba and Kroos in midfield? Sounds, good eh?
