According to reports, Real Madrid are ready to sacrifice Gareth Bale in order to bring in Kylian Mbappe from AS Monaco.

Madrid have been heavily linked with the 18-year-old Frenchman for the past couple of weeks. But in order to sign him, Zidane must take a series of important decisions first. Monaco have quoted a price somewhere in the region of €100 million. And Madrid are now scampering around trying to gather the funds. Madrid President Florentino Perez is likely to sell off Alvaro Morata to Manchester United in order to fund Mbappe’s transfer fee.

But there is also another problem that lies in front of Zinedine Zidane. The coach will have to sacrifice one of his attacking trios in order to accommodate Mbappe into the front line. At first, everyone thought that it was going to be Cristiano Ronaldo after the Portuguese had expressed his desire to leave Spain. But as the days have passed by, the rumours have subdued a little bit.

Gareth Bale
Gareth Bale has played 150 games for Real Madrid since joining the club in 2013.

And now it looks as if Zidane has finally chosen his sacrifice in the form of Gareth Bale. It is reported that Real Madrid are ready to sell him off so that Mbappe could get an assured position in the starting line-up. And selling off the Welshman would also mean that a lot of funds would come in. Invariably helping the Mbappe move.

The names of Manchester United and Chelsea has come up as the possible destinations for the 27-year-old. But amongst these two big names Manchester United look to be the front-runners in the deal. The United management have provided Mourinho with a large piggy bank for the transfer window as the club returns back to the Champions League.

Signing the former Tottenham player will make absolute sense for Man Utd after the team failed to get the services of Antoine Griezmann. United have already signed Victor Lindelof from Benfica at a whopping £30.7million. And if Bale is truly available in the market then Mourinho will not think twice in order to sign him.
