Marco Asensio had a wonderful start to the new season at Real Madrid. But as the campaign has rolled along the 21-year-old has found it really difficult to get consistent game time under Zidane. The Real boss has opted to go with Benzema and Ronaldo upfront – both of whom have been out of form, and this has seemingly frustrated Asensio.

According to a report, the Spanish International has had a chat with the Los Blancos President about the lack of first-team starts but Florentino Perez has said that any kind of team selection is the sole responsibility of Zinedine Zidane. As per the report, this bit of news has not gone down too well with Asensio and he is willing to move out of the Bernabeu if his situation does not change in the coming months.

The news suggests that Chelsea are monitoring the situation very closely and they will pounce on the player if the talks between Zidane and Asensio turn south.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has been unhappy with his board for failing to bring in marquee signings during the summer transfer window but the Blues are trying to mend the situation by trying to sign Marco Asensio. A few reports suggested that Manchester United too are on the trail of Asensio and are preparing a staggering 177 million pound bid.

Chelsea have the fear that they might lose out on Eden Hazard during the next summer while Willian might also be on his way out to Manchester United. Under such a scenario, the Chelsea management is trying to bring in proper reinforcement so that Antonio Conte has something that will hold him back at Stamford Bridge.
