Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has given the go-ahead to Yannick Carrasco’s transfer and a list of Premier League clubs might launch bids for the winger.

Atletico are set to release Luciano Vietto and Nicolás Gaitán during the January transfer window and now it seems that Carrasco’s name has been added to the list.

The 24-year-old winger joined Atletico back in 2015 from Monaco and in these past three seasons, Carrasco has made 114 appearances for the La Liga outfit. But this campaign the Belgian’s performance has dipped considerably – scoring just 3 goals in 12 appearances.

Atletico Madrid had a transfer ban as a result of which they were unable to bring in any new players during the summer. But the transfer ban will be lifted once the January transfer window reopens and the Spanish side will have plans to bring in a fresh bunch of players.

And in order to do that Simeone first has to free up some space in the dressing room.

Chelsea and Manchester United are interested in Carrasco as both of the teams might face some severe winger crisis by the end of the campaign.
