Spurs look all set to make their first signing of the summer in the form of Segre Aurier from PSG.

According to a Spanish tabloid, Aurier’s move to PSG is 95% complete with just personal terms being left to discuss. And once the personal terms are agreed upon, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy will start negotiations with PSG for the potential transfer. Spurs value the right-back in the region of £23 million and will hopefully start the negotiations in that price bracket.

Serge Aurier was initially targetted by Chelsea at the start of the summer transfer window but it somehow did not materialise. And now Chelsea’s London rivals look all set to leaf frog over them and scoop up the Ivorian International.

But if the news around England is anything to go by then the Blues haven’t yet given up hope and will try and make one more attempt to hijack the deal.

Even if Spurs manage to sign Aurier then also the deal will be anything but secure as one report claims that the Ivorian might not be granted an immediate entry into England. Serge had been found guilty of assaulting a police officer outside a Paris nightclub last year. And as per the reports, he will only be allowed entry into the country after he has cleared himself of all the charges.

The Ivorian has already been denied entry once before when PSG came to London to play against Arsenal in the Champions League. Even though he was granted an initial visa but later the border control authorities revoked it citing the above mentioned reason.
