Tottenham Hotspur suffered their second defeat of the season at the hands of Manchester United as Pochettinho’s men were outdone by a disciplined Jose Mourinho side. The game ended 1-0 in favour of the Red Devils and the Lilywhites did very little to trouble the United defence and David De Gea.

Here are the Spurs players ratings vs Manchester United:

Hugo Lloris: 6.5/10

Could have done very little about the goal but looked quite rattled throughout the game. Fumbled one Mkhitaryan shot throughout which United could have easily taken the lead.

Eric Dier: 6/10

Started ahead of Sanchez and was the main culprit for the buildup towards the goal.

Vertonghen: 7.5/10

Was good throughout the match.

Alderweireld: 6/10

Was good for most of the game was was could napping as Martial made the run behind him which eventually let to the goal.

Aurier: 6.5/10

Had a great duel with Ashley Young on the flank but did not do much while going forward.

Harry Winks: 6.5/10

Was a decent enough game for the youngster.

Sissoko: 5/10

Lacked the flare that was needed to cut open the United defence.

Ben Davies: 7/10

Made one fine clearance to deny Rashford a tap-in from Mkhitaryan’s shot.

Christian Eriksen: 6.5/10

Was kept quiet for most of the game but came up with a brilliant bit of magic but Dele Alli failed to convert from the pass.

Dele Alli: 6/10

Had one golden opportunity when he lost his marker but put toe-poked the ball wide of the post.

Heung-Min: 5/10

Was deployed as the striker in the absence of Harry Kane and he did a lot of running throughout the pitch. But that was about it.

Substitutes:

Llorente: 7/10

Won a few duel with United’s defence after coming on but did not do anything flashy.

Dembele: 6/10

No major contributions.
