Tottenham Hotspurs staged a brilliant comeback to win an absolute cracker of a match against Wycombe Wanderers. The quality of the opponents, well at least on paper might take away a bit of the buzz. But a comeback is a comeback, under any circumstances.

Wycombe went 2-0 up before half time as Paul Hayes scored two goals within the first 40 minutes. In the second half, Spurs pulled one back thanks to Son. In the 64th minute, Janssen slotted home a penalty to put the hosts level at 2-2.

The drama had just about begun as substitute Garry Thompson scored an 83rd-minute goal to put Wycombe in the lead once again. Then Dele Alli can to Spurs rescue, once again. He levelled the game at 3-3 after a neat and composed finish in just a minute before regulation time. At then Son scored a 97th-minute goal to win the game for Tottenham Hotspurs.

Wycombe won hearts:

The Chairboys, as Wycombe Wanderers are affectionally called, will take a lot of heart from this performance. The are in League Two currently and still to put up such a wonderful performance against a top-flight team like Tottenham is credit worthy. And they could perform so freely simply because they were under no pressure whatsoever. They will be heading back home with bags full of memories and compliments. But at the end of the day, the result is what matters the most for Spurs as they move into the next round of the FA Cup.
