Chelsea travel to West Yorkshire in order to take on Huddersfield Town on Tuesday and the trio of Marcos Alonso, Alvaro Morata and Antonio Rudiger need to be extra cautious.

All three players have picked up four yellow cards so far in the campaign and one more card would mean that they will get an automatic one-game suspension from the FA.

Chelsea take on David Wagner’s Huddersfield Town on Tuesday and the Blues will need to take extra care of the above-mentioned players. While Conte has already ruled out Morata with a back injury but both Rudiger and Alonso will surely feature in the game.

If they were to receive another yellow card before 31st December they will miss a game and this is something that Conte just cannot afford. In a worst-case scenario if Alonso was to receive a card then the Blues manager would still have a cover for him in the form of Zappacosta. But if Rudiger were to be booked then it would mean serious trouble for the London outfit.

Conte’s preferred line-up includes three defenders in the back line and currently, he only has four fit defenders to choose from – with David Luiz sidelined with a knee injury. A potential suspension for Rudiger would mean that Conte will then have three available central defenders – Christensen, Cahill and Azpilicueta.

Antonio Conte has revealed in his pre-match press conference that his players should not take Huddersfield Town lightly while his managerial counterpart has said that his team will try and make Chelsea uncomfortable in order to take away something from the match.
