Bayer Leverkusen are in no mood to part ways with winger Leon Bailey during the January transfer window.

Leon Bailey joined the Bundesliga outfit from Genk in January 2017 and this season has been one of the most talked about players in the German circuit. Bailey has managed to net 6 goals and clock up 4 assists in just 14 Bundesliga appearance.

A number of Premier League clubs like Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United were linked with the Jamaican and all these clubs were reportedly preparing January bids – with Chelsea said to be favourites to land the youngster.

But now Bayer Leverkusen director Jonas Boldt has made it very clear that Leon Bailey is going nowhere in January.

While speaking to Kicker, “Well now the time starts again when there is some insane [transfer] talk,

“There is no offer for Leon. We have absolutely no thought of selling him. He has a contract until 2022 – and we are on the driver’s seat.”

Chelsea undoubtedly suffer the biggest from this statement as they know very well that Real Madrid might sign Eden Hazard at the end of the summer. And Leon Bailey looked to be a great replacement for the Belgian. Antonio Conte even told his chiefs to get him, Leon Bailey, at any cost but now Boldt has made it pretty clear that the Jamaican is not going anywhere not atleast during January.
