Tottenham Hotspur and Everton have entered the race to sign Hamburg striker Jann-Fiete Arp.

Arp, 17 is one of the most promising young talents in Europe right now and a series of Premier League clubs are already after his signature. Clubs like Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City all have a keen interest in the youngster.

While both Arsenal and Manchester City have only watched the progress of Arp and have made no real move but Chelsea, on the other hand, have already tried signing the youngster once during the summer transfer window.

Arp’s current contract with Hamburg runs out in 2019 and the way he has started the current campaign for the Bundesliga outfit it seems that he will not have to chance to stay back in Germany for that long. The 17-year-old has already scored two goals in five starts and is fast becoming one of the key players for strugglers Hamburg.

But amongst all the clubs that are interested in him, Tottenham Hotspur but eventually hold the edge as Arp has a special liking towards Harry Kane and is a huge admirer of the English International.

Arp said, “There are many good strikers that you can learn a lot from by watching. But if there was just one player I had to pick as my role model, it’s Harry Kane.

“He plays the way I want to play. He’s pacy and very comfortable with and without the ball. It’s difficult to stop him. You need to pay attention for 90 minutes because he can score at any time.”
