Tottenham Hotspur are pretty much out of the Premier League race and now their biggest challenge will be to secure that elusive Champions League spot for the next campaign.

The Lilywhites are currently 5th on the league table – one point behind Liverpool – who make up the top four of the English Premier League. Mauricio Pochettino’s side next play host to Southampton in the early afternoon kick off on Boxing Day.

Even though the match against the Saints will hopefully not be a major hiccup for Harry Kane and co. But with Pellegrino’s side just three points clear of the relegations zone they will be trying their best to pick up all three points and avoid a dramatic relegation battle.

But the Saints have been dealt with a big blow as one of their most important players – Charlie Austin will not be available for selection on Tuesday.

Austin has been charged by the Football Association for catching Huddersfield goalkeeper Jonas Lossi with his foot as a result of which he has been handed out a three-match ban starting with the Spurs game on Boxing Day.
