Watford vs Man City line up prediction: Will Leroy Sane get the nod ahead of Sterling?

Manchester City will be hoping to cap off a successful week of football in stylish fashion as they had to Vicarage road to face an in-form Watford.

Marco Silva’s men have started the season extremely well and they will expect to give City a run for their money.

However, City’s firepower is a bit too much to deal with and whether Watford’s efforts bear fruit will be solely up to how City deal with the Hornets.

Here is the Watford vs Man City line up prediction:

Goalkeeper:

Ederson

The Brazilian suffered a nasty injury as Mane’s challenge resulted in a boot to his face. He was expected to sit out of the Champions League match against Feyenoord but Guardiola does not really want to rotate for this position so he is expected to start again.

Defence:

Kyle Walker

The full-back is growing in stature each week as he looks to justify his high price tag.

John Stones

2 clean sheets, 2 goals and 2 solid performances all in the space of few days and all of a sudden things look rosy for the Englishman. A Strong showing in the absence of Kompany.

Nicolas Otamendi

Will be hoping to overcome the Salah nightmare, although there are a couple of Watford player who could trouble him.

Benjamin Mendy

Starting to show his menacing runs up and down the flank as he settles into life in England.

Midfield:

Fernandinho

The midfielder has been ever-present so far this season and with the likes of Yaya Toure and Ilkay Gundogan getting virtually no game time, he will be expected to start again.

Kevin De Bruyne

The Belgian is quickly shifting gears and raising his levels game after game. Assisting and creating more chances than he did at the start of the season.

David Silva

The Spaniard was expected to be a shadow player this season but his brilliant start has seen him start the majority of the games and he should be in line for yet another start.

Attack:

Raheem Sterling

Two important goals in two games before being suspended serves as an extremely strong case for him to start on his return from suspension. Played for 30 odd minutes against Feyenoord in order to be ready for this one

Gabriel Jesus

Hauled off early against Liverpool but played the full 90 against the Dutch champions. Will not want to be rested especially when in such a rich vein of form.

Sergio Aguero

The Argentine was replaced early in the second half at Rotterdam to keep him fresh for the trip to Watford.
