Many people would agree with the fact that this summer’s transfer window has reached a new level of crazy and huge amounts of money have been flowing around. The Premier League too has seen its fair share of the craziness as many teams have gone out and broken the bank to bring in some great talents. Manchester City bought Kyle Walker from Tottenham Hotspur and in doing so made him the most expensive defender in the world. Manchester United and Chelsea also splurged money to bring in reinforcements especially in the forward areas.

But when the next season comes to an end it might just be Arsenal who come out as the team which made the best transfer. And no, we are not talking about the Gooners’ acquisition of Alexandre Lacazette. Instead, we are talking about Sead Kolasinac – a player that arrived at Arsenal on a free transfer from Schalke 04.

The 24-year-old German International played his first game for the Gooners this weekende when he came on as a substitute for the injured Per Mertesacker during the half-hour mark. And since coming on, the player pulled out a performance that will certainly make Arsene Wenger proud.

The German slotted in at left wing back and at the end of the match he came out with some unbelievable stats. He had one shot on target and scored a header to equalise the game for the Gooners at 1-1. Kolasinac had 53 touches during his stay on the pitch and his passing accuracy at the end of the pitch was a staggering 93 percent. But more than the stats, the spectators at Wembley were awe struck at the fact that how easily the German settled into the game.

Kolasinac also impressed everyone with his defensive capabilities as he made three tackles and one crucial interception.

Add to this the fact that Arsenal did not have to pay a single dime for his services and it makes his performance look even more bright. So while we are all gushing over the arrivals of the Moratas and Bakayokos it might just be possible that Wenger has managed to sign the player that will be dominating the Premier League for the next 10 months.
